Royal Clipper is 5-mast sailing ship launched in 2001, with the gross tonnage of 5,000 tons, 440 feet of length and the total capacity of 250 passengers. She has 42 sails, all except the biggest one designed by computer and made of the best materials available. She has an international crew of 105 with green parrot called Murphy as the additional crew member. Worth of mention is the fact that the Euro is a standard currency on board.
Dining
Although the Dining Room of the Royal Clipper is of the highest standards when speaking about interior decor, the quality of meals and service is of slightly lower level there. There is also possibility to have a breakfast or lunch in the Tropical Bar during Caribbean trips or in the Piano Bar. You must remember that room service is available only to guests who live in Owner’s and Deluxe Suites.
Cabins
There are eight categories of available cabins from the smallest and of lowest standard inside rooms of merely 100 square feet to the luxury two Owner’s and fourteen Deluxe Suites of 320 and 255 square feet. Additional amenities are common only in the high standard suites of Royal Clipper and consist of bathrobes, a mini-bar and special pantry. Still, in all cabins you will find enough closet and drawer space as well as comfortable beds, telephone, television and stylish furnishing together with wooden and brass décor.
Not-to-be-missed
While sailing on this Star Clipper cruise ship, we mustn’t forget about visiting Captain Nemo Underwater Lounge. There we can observe marine life and ocean bottom through the glass portholes. Another unusual activity is climbing the rigging although it is limited by weather conditions.
